Seth M. Lynn, jr. | Chairman Along with his responsibilities as chairman, Seth directs Byram Capital Management's investment team. He is the former chief executive and president of Axe-Houghton Associates, Inc., where he created the small-cap value equity discipline as well as supervised the firm's other value and balanced fund disciplines. Prior to his 18-years with Axe-Houghton, Seth spent 9 years at Bankers Trust Company managing equity and fixed-income portfolios. Seth is an MBA graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business, and holds an AB in Art History from Yale University. Alexander B. Hood | President Alex is a senior portfolio manager for Byram Capital's value equity disciplines, overseeing areas of both research and execution. Previously, he spent six-years at Axe-Houghton Associates, Inc. managing value equity portfolios for an institutional client base. Alex began his investment career as a real estate analyst and consultant at Elovitz & Partners, Morgan Grenfell Laurie and Jones Lang Wootton. Alex is an MBA Graduate of the Stern School of New York University and holds a BA in Economics from Hamilton College. E. William Smethurst | Managing Director Bill brings over 40-years of portfolio management experience to Byram Capital Management. After a brief retirement, Bill joined Axe-Houghton Associates, Inc., to manage balanced portfolios and individual accounts. Previously, Bill was chairman, president and chief investment officer of Schroeder Wertheim Investment Management Services; senior vice president and chief investment officer of C. J. Lawrence; managing director and chief investment officer at Tallasi Management Company; and executive vice president and chief investment officer of Wertheim Asset Management Services. Bill is an MBA graduate of Harvard University and holds a BA in English Literature from Amherst College. J. Griffith Noble, CFA | Vice President Investments Griff joined our investment staff in 2006 and focuses on maintaining Byram's research database for small and mid cap disciplines and identifying value opportunities for client portfolios. He joined Byram from Emerson Investment Management where he was an analyst and portfolio manger. Previously, he was a small/mid cap equity analyst with Deutsche Asset Management and Scudder Kemper Investments. Griff began his investment career with Putnam Investments. Griff is a MBA graduate of Babson College and holds a BS from the University of Vermont. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst. Trading and OperationsJay Robinson-Duff III, CFA | Director of Trading Jay supervises Byram Capital Management's equities trading. He has over 20-years experience trading equities, fixed income and derivative instruments. Prior to joining Byram Capital Management Jay spent nine years at Frank Russell Securities. During his last six years, he managed the firm's trading desk. Previously, Jay was a trader for Leland O'Brien Rubinstein Associates; First Imperial Advisors; and, San Diego Trust & Savings Bank. He began his career as a floor clerk at the NYSE. Jay holds a BS in business administration from Bryant College and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. Cathy A. Castellano | Vice President of Operations Cathy holds a MBA and a BS in finance from Fordham University. Silvio Minuto | Operations Silvio's responsibility is portfolio administration. Prior to joining Byram Capital Management, Silvio was research and trading associate at Paratus Partners, LLC; operations analyst at Globe Op Financial Services; and, assistant to the CEO at JSK Associates. Silvio holds a BBA in business management from Iona College. Firm AdministrationGeorge R. Kress, CFA | Managing Director George is chief compliance officer and financial officer for the firm. He works as portfolio analyst in support of our value disciplines. He also oversees in marketing and client service. George joined Byram Capital Management from Axe-Houghton Associates, Inc. Previously, he worked an equity analyst covering consumer stocks at Argus Research Corp. and as a research analyst at Hallmark Capital Management. George is an MBA graduate of Rutgers University and holds a BA in business administration from Seton Hall University. George is a Chartered Financial Analyst. Anthony R. Schlein | Director of Technology Tony joined Byram Capital in early 2006 to administer our technology resources. He writes applications for the firm, manages our computer network and our voice and data communications. Prior to joining Byram Capital, Tony was vice president of information technology at J.P. Morgan Chase. Tony holds a MS in Clinical Psychology from The University of Houston and a BA from Swarthmore College. Deborah J. Farrell | Office Manager Debbie has worked with our team since 1999, when she joined Byram Capital Management's predecessor company, Axe-Houghton Associates. She oversees all office management responsibilities, and supports client reporting and database management. Previously, Debbie worked in administration at Poly-Flex Corporation and MCI International. |
